GE Group Life Now Genworth Financial
As a result of the recent initial public offering (IPO) by GE, a new company called Genworth Financial has been formed. All GE insurance products, such as dental, life, and disability, will now go by the name Genworth Financial. Since GE Group Life Assurance Company will continue to underwrite the products, there will be no impact on your contract or rates. At this time, the only change you should expect to see will be the new Genworth Financial brand on future correspondence.
The attached letter from Genworth Financial explains this change and how it will affect you and your employees. Bottom line, however, is that it is "business as usual", other than the fact that you need to be aware of the new name.
